Susan Duncan learned her craft in Dundas, Ontario, in a community abounding with potters. By watching and assisting others she gradually developed her own style, never showy but classical, disciplined, delicate.
Working in Lochcarron since 1990 she makes high-fired stoneware and porcelain, mostly wheel-thrown and always functional, attractive to touch and inviting to use. She fires in an electric kiln and enjoys experimenting with her own glazes. The tranquillity and excitement of the sea, viewed from her wheel, is reflected in her pottery.
Susan Duncan doesn’t have her own website at this time.
