White crests of waves constantly crashing onto the shore, with ever-greater determination in the depths of winter; the fisherman’s aqua rope blown up onto the beach; the rich colours of pink-purple heathers and wild orchids; the deep blues of the sea.
These are the colours in my life on the Isle of Skye, the colours I use in my white earthenware ceramics. Each piece is unique, individually made by hand combining traditional slab-working and handbuilding techniques with contemporary designs.
