Primarily I am a photographer and lover of the Scottish Highlands. Weekends have always been spent scouring the hills, coasts, glens and towns for locations for the next ‘perfect’ photograph. More and more frequently while scoping out locations for photographs, I have found myself wandering beautiful, deserted and rugged coastlines picking up bits of washed up junk and thinking “what could I do with that?”
I bought myself a 40mm forstner drill bit and started making tealight holders from chunks of wood discovered from the shores of Scotland, most frequently from the Highlands where I call home, the East Neuk of Fife and the rustic harbour towns of Moray and Aberdeenshire.
