I was brought up on the East coast of Scotland, from where I left to attend the Chelsea School of Art. I then gained an Honours Degree in Painting and Drawing at Gray’s School of Art, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Painting, studying under Alexander Fraser and Joyce Cairns. During this time and following I gained various prizes and scholarships.
I have completed various commissions, and my work is in the collections of the Royal Scottish Academy, Robert Gordon’s University Archives and the Highland Councils collection.
My work has been exhibited alongside Peter Howson, Joyce Cairns amongst others during the Faces and Figures exhibition of the Highland Council Archives in 2013.
I have exhibited widely in the past throughout Scotland including a solo show at Inverness Art Gallery and Museum.
My work at present looks how the landscape around us is formed by politics, literature and the visual arts and how this changes how we look at the world around us. I use collage to layer information and history into the works and allow for the work in some ways to develop themselves.
