Having grown up on the Isle of Lewis the sea, rocks, moors and huge skies are a constant source of inspiration for my work. I lived abroad for many years, but in 2006 I retired to Glasgow to devote more time to my lifelong passion for painting. Since then my land/seascape painting has moved from a mainly impressionistic style, to ever simpler forms of expression. I now delight to distil the shapes and colours before me down to pure abstraction, while still retaining a tie to reality.
My work is to be found in private collections in the USA, Australia, and South Africa, as well as in the UK. I have also been fortunate enough to have had work displayed by the RGI and RSW in Glasgow, as well as in the Lillie and Kelly Galleries.
