Belia Beisheuvel

I was introduced to clay whilst on a three month art course and fell in love. This was in 1996 and it has developed into a lifelong love affair. It was during this time that I joined the Findhorn Pottery where I was initially the apprentice, taking on the running of the studio in 2001 and buying it from the then owners in 2005.
Nature stimulates my investigation and I love using elements of the natural world in my functional pottery and decorative pieces. I also love creating new glazes in order for the colours to reflect the inspiration I derive from nature. What excites me is the beauty of everyday objects.
