Minch 9 by Marion Boddy-Evans

"Minch 9" Framed acrylic on canvas 40x120cm

"In summer the sun drops below the horizon but continues to make the sky glow in oranges and reds"

My art is inspired by the spectacular landscape in which I live. On sunny days I like to take my sketchbook for a walk, using what I’ve seen to create larger paintings back in my studio. On wet, windswept days I like to watch the waters of the Minch, the every-changing light and colours. My aim is to convey something of what I'm seeing and feeling in a particular spot.
